The Fort was a fascinating place to visit. The guides were well informed and very impressive. The view from the nearby Mount Defiance was excellent.

Both times I have been to the Fort has been special. Favorite part of my visit was seeing the muskets and cannon and the knowledge that Ron had concerning the weapons!

Spent a couple hours at the fort. Great views. Interesting history. Enjoyed the live historical narratives and re-enactments. Incredible panoramic view at the top of Mount Defiance.

By all means just drive to the fort, it's about an hour drive from Shelburne. This way you don't have to worry about any other transportation.

Although we did not see the entire Cannon Demonstration, as a teacher, I believe you may be cutting it short and could not see the entire demonstration unless they could demonstrate a bit earlier..............
