Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was very impressed by this tour, and I've been on a few. Nick and Nye are clearly on first-name terms with the WT eagles, because we had extraordinarily close views of one flying over us, then later swooping for a fish and sitting on a cliff while we took all the pictures we wanted. We also saw red-throated divers, a few seals, cormorants and herons, and there was a distant view of the much less sociable golden eagle, as well as a couple of passing kestrels. It helped that Nick was generous enough to give us more than the allotted time. Back on dry land I found the area around Kallin a great spot for short-eared owls early and late in the day, which is also the best time to see deer at close quarters from the road.

Booked a wildlife 2 hour trip for 2 adults and 2 children for £160.
Our expectations were it needed more interaction and information for the cost. We have been on similar trips elsewhere that included stops to brief the whole group on birds/animals/history as we went. The Cromarty dophin trip even included hot chocolate and a piece of shortbread half way round which was very appreciated!
Our children would have enjoyed more interaction from our guide or even a check list of birds/animals/fish/plants to look out for.
Our trip did see seals, deer, a white tailed Eagle and our guides knew where to look. Perhaps we are not as knowledgeable about the Uist wildlife as other passengers who would appreciate a low key tour but we would have liked a little more!

We had a lovely 2 hour trip last week and I couldn’t recommend it more. We saw two white tailed eagles, deer, seals and variety of other birds. Nick and Nye were welcoming and informative. Our children (12 and 6 years old) both enjoyed it as did we.
A life jacket was provided for our 6 year old and there were binoculars available to borrow. The scenery was beautiful.
Highly recommended.

Outstanding trip!
Small number of people on the boat meaning you had ample room to sit and move around when needed.
Plenty of information given and Nick & Ni were great at answering questions and were both full of knowledge.
The highlight had to be the White Tailed Eagle swooping for a fish!

Weare regular visitors to North Uist and had never tried the services here.
Booking was straightforward and friendly. There was a system to cover 'no go' days due weather which was reassuring.
We met at the harbour and made welcome on a brilliant sunny morning. Sailing at 11.00 today due to tidal restraints.
The trip itself is to no fixed plan other than to find wildlife in which it succeeded.
Apart from smaller Auks and Gulls we were shown several 'Divers' and both species of Eagle. Some Deer and Grey Seals made up the mammals. No Otters or cetaceans but one cannot have everything it is not a zoo.
If there was a down side it was perhaps in communications. The skipper, Nick is a quietly spoken Islander and with the engine running it was sometimes hard to hear directions and information on our sightings. This was not the regular boat 'Lady Anne' and I wonder if the arrangement was not as good.
It did not mar an otherwise great tour but was a bit frustrating at times.

Superb. Relaxed approach to viewing nature without intruding. Very knowledgeable crew who shared their local knowledge. Chance to see White tailed eagles hunting and on nest is a real privilege. Nick and Ni offer a top experience.

Two of the best hours of my month long Outer Hebrides trip. So much wildlife to see, the White Tail Eagles being the highlight. Four of them, with one up close. An exceptional boat trip.

We had the most amazing trip and luckily had beautiful weather. It was fabulous to see our beautiful island from the water. The highlight of the trip was the white tailed sea eagle putting on a fabulous display.
Our tour guides Nye and Chippy were clearly passionate about the job they were doing. I certainly recommend this trip!!!

A wonderful wildlife tour, with close views of white-tailed eagles and many other attractions, including swimming deer.

The boat was well handled and the guides were knowledgeable and helpful. We ended up having more than the advertised time because there was so much to see.

Had a superb experience aboard the Lady Anne, the crew were friendly and knowledgeable, the scenery stunning and the wildlife most obliging! Some great encounters, especially following the unexpected bicycle pump! Many thanks!
