We took the tour for Matt Brewing Co. on a Saturday afternoon. After several brewery tours in the Midwest, we've found many tours to be the same regardless of the brewery - Matt Brewing offers an exception! The building is beautiful and historic, and the guide has a lot to talk about in addition to the standard talk about how... More

We stopped by the upstairs tavern for a fresh pint of beer while visit locally. Tom poured a great pint while telling us a bit about the beer. Limited hours so make sure to check before planning a visit.

The tours are amazing and the shop has some great apparel and beer as you might expect. Anyone who is visiting Utica should stop here

Picked up my first pumpkin beer of the season here! Great atmosphere, love the gift shop downstairs. Great for couples or groups!

I love that the brewery adds to the community by providing a venue for concerts in nice weather. We have been multiple times. I don't go to Thursday nights, because it's not my thing, but I'm glad it's there for those that want to, especially young adults. I do enjoy the bigger concerts that they sponsor. The beer is cold,... More

If you're a beer drinker and you're in the area of Utica, New York then you need to take this tour. The best part is after the tour upstairs at the 1888 Tavern where you get to sample some of their products like Saranac and Utica Club. The place is decorated in all 1888 memorabilia from the wall paper to... More

Wow, we thought we were just going for the brewery tour. We actually missed the tour, we ran very late, but thought we would stop by for a beer anyway. Kevin was our host / bartender and he had a ridiculous amount of local and historical information to impart. He could not have been any friendlier or more welcoming. The... More

Never disappointed. Come down every year. Well worth the $5. Great tour, great tour guides, and good beer at the end and beautiful gift shop to pick up souvenirs.
