Great stop for a hike along the escarpment or just along the trails. Magnificent views of the valley and all the way to Albany and surrounding areas. The new visitor center is very nice with lots of good background info about the geology.

Wear good shoes and bring binoculars. Saw many birds. Trails were clean and well marked. You will have to keep a close eye on small children.

The views from the overlook on a clear day are worth trip alone and the same can be said for taking a hike on the Indian Ladder trail. For these reasons and much more, treat yourself to a visit.

We went in October and the views and colors were terrific from the top of the escarpment. You could see Massachusetts and Vermont. We walked on a trail below the cliffs "Indian Ladder Trail" which was very cool. There were other trails we could have...More

The trail is about one half mile in length. There are steps on the two ends of the trail that go up and down from the top of the escarpment. A healthy senior should be able to walk the trail as long as they can climb... More
