This was my first time staying at the 7bft kite house and they exceeded my expectations. They offer world-class services, have professional and friendly staff and the wind was reliable through my stay.
I really liked the foil storage room, where you are able to securely store your foil board. You definitely don't see that in on every kite beach, but it comes very welcome for all of us that are riding foils.
Their rental equipment is recent and of highest quality (Core). Staff is always there to help you with any issues. There is also a bar/restaurant on site where you can refresh after the session of just chill in one of the many bean bags.
It is sad to see so much new development going on around the spot. Wind can already be quite gusty from some directions and if the development around the Kitehouse continues (which seems to be the case) the problem could get worse. This problem can be mitigated if one goes riding slightly more downwind in the bay, but this requires skills to return back upwind.
The only downside I found was the working hours and the last bus run. I would prefer it to be tied to the sunset time so I could ride until the sunset and then still be able to return to the hotel.

Preparing your stay is made easy by excellent and quick communication by mail with the front office.
When you arrive, you will be guided by the reception and introduced to the whole facility.
The kitehouse has it all.
Bar, Shower, Storage, Rental, chillarea, SUP, Swimming, Snorkeling
You can easily spend you relaxed day without kiting.
Everyone is really helpfull and friendly.
It makes no difference if you are a bunch of dudes with your own stuff or an advanced female rider.
The mood is relaxed but in a very professional surrounding.
Beachhelpers and rescue boat are really a gift for everyone wanting to hit the water.
The kites are all Core with a max of 2y old. Mainly XR and Nexus.
Sure, the one or the other is well used, but you will get a nearly brandnew the next time you need.
The boards are all good boards in all length and shapes with good boards bindings.
You will have a shuttle bus going to the Breakers Hotel every half an hour.
All other hotels will be served on request without any hassle.
You can attend downwinders to Tobia Island with rescue service, food and drink for a very reasonable price when conditions are right.

I was there for 2 weeks and it was really good. I arrived and had never did kitesurf before: the 6 days course “from 0 to hero” was perfect and already on day 3 I was on the board. Teacher was very helpful.
For the second week I rented equipment and everything worked out smoothly (they have all possible sizes of kites and boards).
I would definitely reccomend both for beginners (with lesson) as well as advanced riders
Would reccomend booking the “golden service” (kite and all equipment gets prepared for you directly on the beach so that you can immediately start kiting).
The station also has a good restaurant and bar

Staff are super helpful and responsive. Everyone is knowledgeable about the conditions and equipment. In the shoulder season, you’ll have some space and staff will be patient. Storage lockers are super convenient. There is a rescue/retrieval boat that is always on hand.
This is a good spot to try a foil for the first time.
The beach area is nice to hang out when the wind is down and the kitchen will prepare yummy things if you want.
For lessons and instructions, I’d recommend you first clarify exactly what you need / expect regarding individual/group lessons, etc. so as to not be surprised afterwards.
Prices in Egypt tend to be higher than in other vacations spots (likely due to government stuff) so keep that in mind.

Positives:
The bar and restaurant at the club are definitely worth a visit. The food and drinks are of high quality (large portions, nice pasta for hungry kiters), and the ambiance is pleasant and inviting. The whole restaurant and reception zone are climatized. The staff at the club is friendly and always ready to help, which is especially beneficial for beginners in the kiteboarding scene. The relaxed atmosphere makes the stay enjoyable and stress-free.
Special mention goes to Amir and Mahmut, who excel as instructor and kite assistant. They are patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to lend a hand. Thanks to their guidance, many kiters were able to make progress despite challenging conditions.
Negatives:
However, there are some significant drawbacks that tarnish the overall experience. The prices at the club are extremely high, which is difficult to justify given the following issues.
The kite equipment available for rent is in poor condition. On multiple occasions, me and other kiters was given defective bars and torn lines, which is not only frustrating but also dangerous. This is an area that urgently needs improvement. At least I get some refund when I had to be rescued due to a broken middle-line.
Another major issue is the wind conditions at the location. The wind is mostly offshore, which makes kiteboarding challenging. Additionally, construction activities in recent years have led to an increase in wind shadows, further complicating the experience. Even experienced kiters often struggle to stay upwind. I have never seen so many rescues, even of kite surfers with a fair bit of experience.
Conclusion:
The Kite Club has its strengths, particularly in terms of its dining and the quality of the staff. However, these positives are significantly overshadowed by the poor conditions, unreliable equipment, and high prices. For beginners who rely on good wind conditions and dependable gear, this club is only recommended with reservations. Those who decide to visit should be prepared for challenging conditions.

Together with a friend, I had booked seven days' vacation at "The Breakers - Diving & Surfing Lodge". We were complete beginners when it came to kitesurfing, which is why we had already inquired about a beginners' course (4 days with a surf coach + 2 subsequent days of independent practice (with reduced equipment rental)) at the "7Bft Kitehouse" beforehand (simply send an email directly to the 7Bft Kitehouse).
On the first morning of our stay, we made our way to the 7Bft Kitehouse with the free transfer provided by the hotel. The transfer consisted of a small bus that always punctually and reliably took guests from the hotel to the kitehouse and back again every half hour (journey time approx. 10 minutes). The driver was also always very courteous and friendly.
When we arrived at the kitehouse, we were warmly welcomed at reception by Amir, who immediately organized a course for us with Youssef. We then did all our kitesurfing lessons together with Youssef, and he made a lot of effort to ensure that we always had enough theory as well as practical lessons. Thanks to Youssef's exceptional skills as a kitesurfing instructor, we made rapid progress and by the end of the week we were even able to reach the 5th level (riding upwind) instead of the originally planned 4th level (goal of the beginners' course).
In addition to the always cheerful team, the service regarding payment was also very pleasant. Since you obviously need wind to kitesurf, and this is not always available at the push of a button, there can also be days when you (especially as a beginner) unfortunately cannot kitesurf. However, since the course days are billed separately, you obviously don't have to pay anything on such days. So you effectively only pay for the days or courses that you actually took part in. So if, for example, there was only enough wind on 4 of the 6 days planned, you certainly don't have to pay the full price for the 6 days.
Last but not least, we had a great time in the hotel and in the kite house. In the end, we were even able to acquire the VDWS-issued and internationally recognized "kiteboarding license", which we definitely had to thank for Youssef's great instruction. We could both definitely imagine spending another holiday in the 7Bft kite house or in "The Breakers".

The 7 Bft is great! I was here at the beginning of December, in the off-season, to learn wingsurfing. The wind was so good on 8-9 of 12 days that you could get out on the water without any problems. Temperatures (22-24 degrees) and sunshine were excellent throughout. The few meters of shallow water are very helpful for learning. If you drift a little too far as a beginner, a boat will take you back to the beach - that gave me a lot of security as a beginner. The trainers go out on the water on a boat, explain everything calmly and pragmatically, and are super nice. The whole team was really helpful and warm - you feel at home! Many thanks especially to Elfi, Amir and Charly!
The infrastructure on site was also excellent - both the building (including the roof terrace with a great view over the bay) and the rental equipment are in tip-top condition. The food on site is also good, my tip is the Salmon Poke Bowl. I also found it very convenient that buses run free, regularly and at short intervals between the local hotels and the kite house - for example, every 30 minutes to the Breakers (a very relaxed and recommendable 4-star hotel).
Overall, I couldn't have imagined a better way to get started with wingsurfing. Everything was perfect. When there's no wind, you can go diving, snorkeling, horse riding, take a trip to Luxor or play golf in Soma Bay. The range of activities on offer is expanded by the "Sport Arena" near the golf course (among other things...).
Overall, I really liked the spot a lot. I will definitely come back!!!

it's the 4th time I visited the Breakers Surf and Dive and so as well the KiteHous belonging to it.
This time the Wind condition where quiet unfortunate (humans influence on that is still quiet limited). Never the less I was able to do a refresher Corse (did some corses 10 year ago), which was fine, an I was able to control the kite and ride the Board in both directions. So Instructions where fitting (at-least they lead to the goal - so the must have been :-D )
Further I did some wakeboard, which was excellent too.
The KiteHouse itself is a very relaxing site to chill, not luxury and lot of "Pling" but clean, sufficient and very relaxed.
The area seems to me very good for beginners (and sure also for Profs) as there is quiet some space with shallow water which I think makes it easier to start.

The Kitehouse is a wonderful experience from A-Z. Very well maintained center with helpful and very attentive and cheerful staff. You can kite without shoes and the spot is not crowded. The only small negative point is the unsteady wind close to the station. But if you kite a little further out, this is no longer a problem. The spot is also ideal for beginners, because it has a large practice area. We will definitely come back!
Thanks a lot to everybody!

I had the pleasure of taking a semi-private kite course at the 7 Bft KiteHouse Somabay last week while staying at The Breakers Hotel. The collaboration between the two establishments allows courses to be booked directly in the rooms, which is extremely convenient.
The weather in January was simply fantastic, with a pleasant 20 °C air temperature and 24 °C water temperature. The office manager Elfi Rabeneck impressed me with her extremely friendly and helpful manner. Even a cancellation of a lesson was possible at no extra cost.
Our kite instructor Yousef really did a great job and got us to level 3 in just 6 hours. The kite service was outstanding and the entire zone is continuously monitored with boats. This precaution not only creates a safe environment, but also ensures that kiters are brought back to the shallow water in case of mistakes.
Overall, my experience at the 7 Bft KiteHouse Somabay was absolutely positive. The professional support, the great weather and the effective teaching method made my kite holiday an unforgettable experience. I can highly recommend this facility and am already looking forward to my next visit!
