A sad market with Chinese stuff everywhere and very dingy. We decided to go as it was near our hotel - Radisson azuri but we regretted the decision later on. Definately skippable.

I'd personally say not to bother and go to Port Louis for the same if not more. It's always worth looking round the local towns and seeing for yourself. If the weather is not so good it kills some time but to be honest everything...More

The workers and the shop owners are undisciplined as they keep following you in order to persuade you to buy their products. They can fool you. Mind those people who calls you and persuade you to buy. They are scammers!! I have seen only 1...More

When you are in Grand Baie nice to pay a visit. If not it is not worth to go there. Very touristic with some harashing sellers. Nothing special to buy.

The pushiness of most (but not all) of the stall owners made visiting this bazaar unpleasant. Most of the stalls have the same product.

We visited the Bazar in July and while you get accosted at every single turn by people selling their wares, there are a few gems hidden in here. I was particularly impressed by the mehndi artist we found (young woman who also makes clothes) and...More

I think this has just been touted as another tourist "attraction" without actually being one. Although you do get authentic Mauritian items (e.g. Vanilla) most of the items are what you would get in Thailand etc... Give it a miss and enjoy the beaches instead

Good place to shop but don't forget to bargain. Shops open late and shut by 5pm. Plenty of caps, scarfs and t-shirts.

Yes its cheaper. Bargain is a must here. Wood artefacts, scarfs, fancy t-shirts etc are some of the best buys here.
