A seemingly green & brown boring mountain nature reserve. Not at all - it has more plant species per hectare than anywhere else on earth ! Great hiking trails, overnight cabins. Peace & desolation. If you want to get a bit of history buy Peter...More

Well worth a visit. The nature is absolutely beautiful. It can be quite challenging if you not reasonably fit, but well worth doing

Like being on a desert island. Away from the city lights and sounds. Just tranquil mother nature, sounds of the sea & animals. Lovely pristine beach with the mountain right behind you. Amazing sunsets on the oceans.

Unassuming entrance to a wealth of beauty. I took a day hike and wish to go back with my mountain bike.

We were there for the birds with an added bonus - the fynbos! While having my morning coffee absorbing my surroundings, a pretty little veld mouse watching me put a smile on my face for the rest of the day!

We did the easy one along the river. Breathtaking views. 12 km in 3 hours are done easily (were over 50). You can go for a dip in the river at several places along the route. Take your swimming gear with you

We stayed at Erica, which has a very nice view to the mountains with starting point of the Kogelberg trail. Yes, there were flies, but these come with the surrounding, not because of the compost toilets. Tip: use insect spray 15 minutes before sleeping and...More
