We were lucky to visit the park the week following people break the Ramadaan Fast. The whole place was abuzz with activity, it seemed like the whole town was in the park. You can pick your choice of food from the numerous stores available on the street while watching the locals unwind. If you time your visit well, you can... More

Visited Forodhani Park for dinner, it is a big area near the sea having plenty of stalls selling food. You can get various types barbecue and fried food, but their sea food is worth trying. I ordered Zanzibari Chicken Pizza (Zanzibari pizzas are different from the normal Pizza Hut pizza) and it was so good, then I head mix sea... More

This beautiful park is almost empty during the day. It's perfect place to just sit on the benches and catch your breath. Then almost magically, it comes alive in the evening as it gets dark when vendors set u shop on the square cooking delicious food that very affordable. Its a beautiful site to behold. It's a garden with different food stalls. You need to be careful where you buy your food from coz not all the places serve fresh food and hygiene sitting area.

A garden with couple of snacks,/refreshment restaurants. A lot of locals will approach you to sell you trips, give you a guided tour, or sell you some other stuff. It is better to stay by the beach or any other place with a view. It is advised to walk with a local or a tour guide so no one can... More

This place comes alive in the evening and there are all sorts of local foods. The foods are reasonably priced and you can watch as the food is being prepared. Soft drinks, water and coffee are also available. The place is well lit at night and very safe It's a must place to visit in Zanzibar

This is a nice place to chill out and read a book during the day, take in the views and just see the locals and tourists bustling about. Or watch the boats as they set sail for Nakupenda and Prison Island. During the evenings, it slowly transforms into a beehive of food stalls and other activities. You can get anything... More

You find an array of foods and drinks here. There are 4 main types of products sold by over 50 different vendors - Shawarma, grilled sea food, fresh sugarcane juice and sweet & salty pizzas. Definitely try the Sweet and Salty Pizza and the fresh sugarcane juice, nothing like it.

We went to the night food market every night during our stay at ZNZ. I tried the Zanzibar pizza and fell in love with it, the pizza is so different and nice. Tourists need to be careful not to fall victim of the food sellers offering what you did not buy. They tend to give you almost everything to pay... More
