Most of the food looks like it has been made a long time ago by some wholesale big kitchen, because it looks exactly the same in every stand and none of it is fresh with a few exemptions like the local Zanzibar pizza and the local soup(the best) in the NW corner. You have to eat it standing or sitting on... Enjoy the magnificent sunset wille the children dive into the Indic ocean, worth will to experience. Highly recommended also for the street food. At night it becomes a open air restaurant with all you can imagine. Not to be missed!

It's a bustling place to be every evening. You can try some of the local snacks and foods, and observe how locals go about their "night life". The best time to visit is Eid time - it was packed with people and you can always have a chat with locals. USEFUL TIP: settle the price before you order your from... More

We enjoyed a picnic lunch here, the park was very clean and looked after. Was nice and quiet and a relaxing environment with a lovely view of the harbour. Lots of little cafes scattered about at very reasonable prices.

Fordhani park itself is relatively average. It is located by the water and has a small stage, seating areas, and a few beverage stands. Come after 6:00 and you will find a wide selection of street food, primarily Zanzibar pizza, various meat and seafood kebabs (Mishkaki), and fresh sugar cane juice. The prices are a little high for some of... More

The old part of town can be crowded and full of tourists. This park is a nice respite from the hustle and bustle. With great views of the water and plenty of places to sit, I could have spent an entire afternoon people watching and enjoying the sunshine. Our tour guide told us that it can get quite crowded at... This place will be much nicer if there is cultural activity happening. Forodhani Park change completly during the night with the food market. Take a tour in this market to enjoy fresh seafood grilled on charcoal I think chips or chapati.
