I knew I wanted to take an off-the-beaten path, Fall vacation, and bring my dog, and be around animals, and I supported the Farm Sanctuary cause, but I had no idea how wonderful the accommodations would be and how peaceful and memorable the whole experience would turn out. If you go, stay in one of the new Tiny Houses. Amy's... More

My husband and I stayed with our 2 dogs in one of the pet friendly cabins. The cabin was spacious, clean and cozy. Although our dogs were not permitted on the farm tour (many of the rescued farm animals are stressed around dogs), we were able to leave them in the cabin while we toured the grounds. Our guide was... More

If you love animals and have compassion for them, Farm Sanctuary is already likely known to you. But if you additionally wish to exist briefly among them (literally, stay on the land) AND rest in comfortable, clean, eco accommodations with your own small kitchen and washer/dryer unit, I highly recommend renting one of their "tiny houses." In the morning you... More

Very well run tour If you are thinking about going vegan this may urge you on. Up close the with big piggies, goats, sheep, cows, turkeys, chickens. This organization endorses a vegan diet because there are no guarantees that any Farm raised animals are treated humanely. However, I thought that they kept it fairly simple without preaching.

My daughter and I came to see the farm after reading about it. We spent the night in Angie's cabin which was roomier than expected and quit nice. The only drawback is there is no plumbing so you must use the bathrooms at the visitor center. I was hesitant but found this to be very easy after all. It was... More

The sanctuary experience was certainly worth the time. There is a 5 minute video before the tour showing the way animals are raised and harvested by big farms & companies. They have exhibits showing the animals' poor living arrangements and pre and post rescue pictures. I knew about this already, but it was great for kids to see because it... More

Over 20+ years I have been well aware of the unfair treatment of farm animals. After taking the rest of the family here, they are all on board with my views. The tour guide was wonderful but the highlight is definitely hearing the stories and meeting the animals. Hope to make a visit here annually. HIGHLY recommend.

I appreciated going to Farm Sanctuary because it brings to the forefront about the relation of people to animals. Since it is a sanctuary, you know that Farm Sanctuary is going to speak out against cruelties to animals on the line of ASPCA or PETA and they do a good job We weren't able to go on the guided tour... What an amazing place. Hearing the rescue stories and getting to interact with the farm residents was incredible. The tour guide knew every animals name, things they liked, or disliked. Where they loved to be scratched....It was so heartwarming. Being able to scratch behind a cows ears and give a pig a belly rub....oh the feeling. The staff were wonderful.... More
