Well run and well maintained. It isn’t anything fancy but it is quiet and comfortable. The staff couldn’t be any more pleasant. It is at the tip of Seneca Lake so there are wineries, breweries, and distilleries for miles and miles in either direction. We stay here at least once a year.

The park ground and trees look poorly maintained. Clean portable rest rooms. Beach was closed. In desperate need of a landscape face lift.

They could do so much more to make this park more attractive to visitors and being at the end of the lake, it would make for a nice picnic area but it just looked run down and dumpy so we didn't even bother. Very disappointed in the whole little town of Watkins Glen considering the beautiful scenery they have available to them.

Ok. So the ins and outs. This campground is really for long term RVs of older people. Some can be supremely friendly and others act like you've invaded 'their' spot. There are three ladies in the desk and 2 of them couldn't be sweeter. The last one you feel like you need crayons for her to understand you. Anyways. Go to the Watkins Glen national park. It's right near the gorge and has all the usual needs of camping or rving. Plus friendly and attentive staff.

This is a 3rd visit for us. True no amenities, BUT with all the area has that shouldn’t be a problem. The sites are a little close, basically level. Good E/W/S. The staff is unbelievably nice. Returning next year for a month ☺️
