short summer visit

Indoors, so excellent for a short visit on a hot day. Again, a small museum preserving the sailing and pearl diving heritage of Kuwait. Nicely laid out exhibits.

Learned how they made their ships by hand. Also learned about the pearl divers. They have a great deal of artifacts to look at.

A great place to learn about the great history of Kuwait and its unique culture. They have some good display of Kuwait maritime history, displayed in miniature carvings. The Museum has some Historic Dhows on display.

The museum is quite small and the tour ends rather quickly with the upstairs mostly being a ballroom.

This is probably a very good place to visit but the construction was really bad and made it very difficult to get to. Also preplan your visit. Maybe on Saturday Friday everything don't open till layer in the day.

The museum is small so it is easy to get through in a short amount of time. It is quaint and informative. However, the highlight was not part of the museum. Don't miss the opportunity to go upstairs and look at the ballroom that is located in the large ship. The ballroom was paneled in wood with stained glass windows... More
