We decided to pay the $8 to climb the lighthouse. Mitchell was our guide and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history and other questions he had pertaining to the island. We learned a lot and had a lovely view. There are 123 steps but it's doable :-)

Nice view from the area. You had possibility to go up in the lighthouse but we thought that 8 USD for each person, regardless if you were kid or not was too much. There is a possibility to buy some refreshments, ice cream, fresh coconuts etc.

We always rent a scooter when in Aruba. And we always make the trek to the California Lighthouse for the view and a fresh coconut drink. From here you can access the rough paths to travel the East side of the island with a four-wheeler.

I loved being able to see the quiet, tranquil ocean with all of the buildings and on the opposite coast the serene deserted land against the raging waters of the ocean. Hard to believe they are in the same place. I did not climb the lighthouse but I'm sure its even more evident from up there. The girl in the... More

There is a great view from the lighthouse area. You ca. See two sides of the island. There is a blue bus there that sells the best coconut smoothies! Yummy

As you are on the northern tip of Aruba, you get a great view of the island. Can have locals make coconut drinks. If you are adventurous, keep going to the east side - just have a 4X4.

The sightseeing was ok nothing special about it. The only thing you get is a better view over Aruba.

This lighthouse is a main attraction on the island. It sits high overlooking the ocean. Has been maintained well. Very windy there since it's on the highest point of the island.
