Genuine experience, nice knowledgeable people fluent in English and the opportunity to observe wild animals exhibiting their natural behavior up close. I was also allowed to camp in my tent near the reception to make the whole experience fit my budget, grateful for this!!

Seeing jaguars in the wild is something I've wanted to do for a long time, so this trip really was a dream come true for me! I spent 3 days at Pantanal Jaguar Camp and had some of the most amazing wildlife encounters of my life. We saw 20 different jaguars in that time, including several times where we were the only boat on the river - truly a magical experience! Our guide, Victor, deserves a special mention as he is incredibly knowledgeable about all the wildlife of the Pantanal and, while he obviously prioritized jaguar sightings, he also devoted lots of time to the giant otters, monkeys, capybara, caimen, snakes and birds that can be seen in the Pantanal. Ailton and his whole team are fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to go back if the opportunity arises!

Ailton and his staff offer the warmest, most heart felt and ecologically sensitive stay in the Pantanal. From the moment you arrive you feel like family. We were constantly cared for- from the delicious wholesome food, to our comfort out on the boats. And most of all a stay here is about connecting with people who have a real passion for jaguars, wildlife in general and the entire ecosystem of the Pantanal. The team here has an intimate knowledge of jaguars and their family trees. Our boat drivers were exceptional about anticipating movements of the wildlife and positioning the boats. We cannot thank Ailton and his team enough and hope to return again and again. (I am an African safari guide and a stay here was a life highlight for me).

Bruno and his team were fantastic! This was a truly novel experience seeing the Pantanal Jaguars up close and learning from university-trained guides about the delicate Pantanal ecosystem. Getting to camp was also very easy, as Bruno and his team arranged all the logistics from Cuiaba. Highly recommended, especially in October or during the dry season.

We had a fantastic time at the lodge. Ailton was very helpful leading us not only through the waters, but also through local habits, dishes, introducing people. We were there to make a film. His contribution was essential.

I cannot say enough about our host (Ailton Lara) , the Pantanal, the wonderful wild life and flora and fauna . This was our first trip to Brazil and Ailton was very patient and responsive with helping to plan . We were three generations on the trip from a 70 year old to 9 years old. Ailton was very knowledgeable and passionate about the eco system and we
Learnt a lot from him . We saw Jagaurs on almost every outing, along with giant sea otters, tapirs , caimans and cabinara. We were able to observe a jaguar stalking a caiman, crossing a river , giant sea otters hunting and eating fishes, also multiple birds. Some rare birds too ! It was an extremely fun trip and the people from jaguar camp were very warm and fed us well too for the whole time we were there . We would return in a heartbeat! For low and wet season we have no complaints at all . Lots of memories were made !

Our trip to the Pantanal to be guided through the natural beauty by Ailton was an exhilarating and touching honor! From the beginning, driving on the Transpantanera, we were filled with excitement seeing Storks, Caiman, Capybara, Macaw, Tapir, and more. And we had yet to arrive. When we did finally arrive we were met by the passionate and caring Ailton, who exuded the love for the animals and nature the entire time, while educating us on all things Pantanal. Extremely knowledgeable and open to questions and dialogue, Ailton was the perfect guide. We worked together as a group to decide what was best for us to see the wonders of this precious habitat. Jaguars, Monkeys, Otters...amazing. Our experience was 10 out of 10 and we will be back. Thank you!
