This place is wonderful. From Quito it takes around 3.5 hours untill you get there. The view is just fantastic. The entrance fee is 2 usd per person. We went to the bottom to see the lake. Amazing experience. Getting back is a different story...More

Did a day trip from Latacunga from Hostal Tiana and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful scenery getting there (about 1.5hrs) and the lake itself is simply breathtaking! Especially when the sun is on it. The day trip cost $40 which includes your guide (Diego was great)...More

Yes you can do this in one day. But i do recommend setting aside 6 hours minimum if you intend to hike and fully take it in.
