Still a good spot to sit and watch the sunset. Was great to walk out or ride the train out years ago

Pleasant walk along the jetty, the rough, uneven boards only add to the charm. Great photo opportunities with the contrasting colours of the water and the mud flats. A little disappointed that you can't actually go right to the end. A must do in Carnarvon.

It was ok but my biggest complaint is about not being able to get to the end. If I had known this I would not have paid into the honesty box (which I know is the whole point of the funding for the restoration). Its...More

Still fascinating to see from the boardwalk & interesting to read about. The surrounding museum, exhibits and displays were very worthwhile. I hadn’t remembered that the sinking of the HMAS Sydney in WW2 was so close & so disastrous in loss of life both Aussie...More

The jetty is closed! However with the history and position it’s a great opportunity if renovations were done. The cafe is ‘ok’. They need our support.

The jetty is closed. Not worth the trip here. The whole area is a looooong work in progress. The lighthouse light is sitting on the ground beside the tower. Much more funding and workers are needed to make this area an attraction.

We visited at sunset and were very disappointed to find the Jetty was closed for safety reasons. None of the promotional material we had seen had mentioned this. We would normally have checked the local tourist info office but it was closed when we arrived...More

Really one of our “WTF” moments during out road trip. The One mile jetty is described in every leaflet and travel guide we read. “Remarkable place, you need to spend the sunrise or sunset here...” fact is: it’s closed for approx 20 years, run by...More

The One Mile Jetty is closed and seems to have been for a while. The council are not going to repair it. This is a great shame on both the heritage side and the experience. It is still worth a walk out to have a...More
