We were there in January this year and the area was not full at all, mainly due to the heat which can be up around the 40 degree mark. There are 2 places to camp. You can either camp at Point Quobba which has a lot of fishing shacks (no power or water) or you can go to Quobba Station. We chose Quobba Station as it was more appealing. There was only a $5 difference per night at Quobba Station (you have a choice of unpowered or powered. Powered is only for a couple of hours each day )and that provided showers and toilets.
