Shell beach is stunning and so unusual. It is well worth a visit and walk around. It was a lovely, easy walk from the carpark to the beach with informative boards about the flora and fauna as well as about the beach itself.

This stunning blazing white beach is definately worth a look. It is made of cockle shells from cockles who like the increased salinity of the water.

Not far off the main road and easy to park. We were there at low tide and walked all the way out to the sea. Incredible to see the vast number of shell pieces making up the beach. Beautiful setting. Just a wonderful place to...More

crazy and beautiful at the same time, a beach consisting of small shell all over - when going to shark bay it's a perfect stop! plan around 30-60 minutes there

Pure white beach as far as can be seen made completely of tiny shells, the water is crystal clear and we saw people out hundreds of metres and still only up to their knees deep, absolutely mind blowing

Schould stop there. It is very beautiful so recommended. It is maybe 5-10 minutes walk from parking. But you decide how long you will walk.

This beach is remarkable and is totally made up of tiny shells. The day we were there we were the only ones on the beach which was awesome.

Define hot? Depends if you live in the Sahara desert or Alaska as to what you class as hot. Best time of year to visit Shark Bay is April to September. Anything outside that will either be windy as hell, or hot as hadies.
