Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely gardens and a promising venue. However the range of chocolate products is very limited and prices overall are exorbitant.
We were hoping to enjoy a coffee but no coffee available, only hot chocolate because they were short staffed.

We visited as 3 families and we’re disappointed here. It was very expensive and you have to purchase a $3 chocolate in order to receive small amount of different flavoured chocolate buttons to try. The lady serving us was unfriendly and abrupt in explaining this method of tasting saying they couldn’t afford to just give it away which would have been fine if explained in a more friendly manner. A hot chocolate will set you back $9.50 here and a small bag of chocolate buttons was $12. The gardens were beautiful and signage explaining the history of chocolate interesting. Pity this didn’t carry over to the service inside. We won’t visit again.

Stopped here as we drove through Denmark.
Nice drive into the grounds, and the house is next to a lovely and well maintained garden. That was the only thing we enjoyed.
There didn't appear to be an samples on offer, and the only staff member available could talk to one person at a time, so we gave up waiting to see what was what.
Compared to other locations, the prices of chocolate and drinks seemed expensive.
Pushchair and wheelchair friendly.
Plenty of parking, and suitable turning area for trailers and caravans

As a Denmark local, visited for the first time with my six year old daughter. Looking forward to a real treat on a day of torrential downpouring - cosy, chocolate, couches... What not to like? But having finished our hot chocolates ($18 for two hot chocs and a truffle, not cheap), our table was immediately cleared away, and it was apparent our time was up. We continued our conversation, and not long after our table was wiped down again. Not subtle. There were plenty of other tables available, but we were clearly not abiding by the conveyer belt business model, because shortly after that, we were asked if we wanted to order anything else, and if not, our table was required for others. All up, we were there for less than an hour. Clearly not a place to linger with friends, or enjoy a special occasion, but aimed solely at the tourist trade. Disappointing...

What a huge disappointment. $9.50 each for hot chocolates. Hot milk near overflowing on arrival, poor presentation and so hard to mix. Despite arriving ahead of a group of servers friends, we waited and waited! Wish we hadnt bothered. Tasted gritty and never again. Server didnt bother to smile. She just wasnt bothered so l didnt bother to spend up as our group of 5 usually does. Your loss. We wont be back!

Visited here with my family, we all had coffee and chocolate brown with raspberry coulis and ice cream, this was beautiful.
The service was outstanding, the lady serving behind the counter was helpful and so lovely.
The gardens are beautiful and we enjoyed a wander through them after coffee.
Stop in and enjoy, I would definitely visit again

We stopped in for a hot drink on a wet afternoon. The staff were friendly, the lounges very comfortable. We had a hot drink and bought a chocolate sampler plate to enjoy which was lovely. The garden was beautiful and we managed to visit when the wisteria was in full bloom.

We dropped in to the Chocolate Factory near Denmark and I was more or less entirely disappointed with every part of the visit. The only saving grace was that the truffle I had was stunning. Go in and buy one by all means, but don't stay.
Firstly, when wondering around the shop it became clear that this venue did not have the same emphasis on local produce that the rest of the region's small businesses have, but was stocked with Italian Olive Oil and British Biscuits to name but two of the foreign products. Strange.
Secondly, we were the second people in the queue and yet it took almost 15 minutes to place an order for 4 coffees and 4 truffles. Part of the delay was that the lady serving us (possibly Swiss Annie) decided that she didn't like the t-shirt I was wearing and, rather than take our order, spent the first minute or so trying to read the brand name and then questioning me on it. Stanger.
Thirdly, it took nearly another 15 minutes to receive our coffees.
Fourthly, the same lady then came and cleared some of our cups whilst some of us were still drinking and informed us very loudly that "I'm not throwing you out but we are closing now so I need to put these in the dishwasher". We would have been gone within 10 minutes maximum and she had plenty of other jobs to be getting on with. Instead, she decided to make us feel unwelcome and did succeed in throwing us out. She also wasted half an hour getting the coffees to us in the first place.
Poor service all round. There are so many better things to do in the region, it would be a crying shame to miss out on anything else for time wasted here.

Ok so the place is nice to look at, has nice gardens, attractive shop but........
$8-$9 for a coffee! nah sod that. Now i aint no snobby trendy city toff, and i have been to "other" chocolate shops and you need to have sample trays........and plenty of them!
As for pricing on the various jams, spreads and products from around Denmark.......why mark them 30%-50% higher than the local distibutors! Come on Chocolate Lounge , do you not relise we have already visited the Berry Farm and several nice vineyards along the way!
Tip Punters: if you want "Value for money", give it a miss and go to Margaret River or the Swan Valley, to the other Chocolate makers.

We called in thinking we would be able to watch the chocolates being made and maybe have a sample or two! No samples, no chocolates being made and everything was so expensive it was just ridiculous. the jam from the Berry Farm was approx $7 a jar more expensive than the shop in Fremantle Markets. Don't even bother stopping the staff were not even welcoming.
