Our daughter got married in the lovely garden area of the Priory. The staff catered beautifully for the wedding and couldn't do enough to assist us. The day was a wonderful success. We regularly visit the Prior on a Sunday for a couple of lunch...More

Despite the sign posting, this place is a ruin and up for sale. No need to visit for any reason. Such a disappointment.

Stayed one night with my family. Very inexpensive place to stay, and the room was quite spacious and large enough for my family of four. Not a lot of frills, as this is a very old building. Biggest drawback was the communal shower/bathrooms. No bathrooms/showers...More

It's not fancy but it's cheap and great with dogs. Gotta say... we had some reservations when we checked in and got to our room! But after reminding ourselves the hotel is 150 years old and how accomodating they are with dogs, we were happy.

I went there for a meal in this beautiful old Hotel. Beautiful service and had an excellent meal. You can arrive any time during the day for a meal or a drink at this lovely hotel. I would highly recommend a meal there.

We came across this place by chance and I'm so glad we did. I would love to see it all fixed up. Would have been gorgeous in its day.

Around forty five years ago I came to this abandoned convent for our annual church Easter camps. Back then I thought the magnificent but run-down buildings offered huge potential for something really special. We decided to take a week to tour the wildflower district and...More

Nice atmosphere, relaxed & shaded outside. Called in for a meal and enjoyed our steak & salads inside the hotel which was typical of an old building ie. fairly dark & cool. The tables definitely needed a wipe over and it was a little difficult...More
