About
We specialise in small groups, personal service, and of course diving in the best, remote areas, exploring World Heritage Marine Park. Dive Ningaloo is a locally owned and operated business that has evolved from a lifetime of diving, snorkeling, boating, marine biology, conservation, and almost anything to do with the ocean really! We pride ourselves on being a small, flexible dive school run by dive professionals with a real passion for what we do (we even dive on our days off!). We have been diving on the Ningaloo for over 20 years, and have more local experience and expertise than anyone else, to share with you.

Went out on a navy pier double dive with the dive Ningaloo team and it was excellent, from booking to drop off everything was planned and well communicated. I took the option to have all the dive gear supplied from them and it was all clean, in good working order and checked over before the dive so you only need to take an underwater camera and your swimsuit.
The team were super confident and knowledgeable during the dive briefings and I'd also recommend the guided dive when you get in as they know the best spots and certainly know their way around the pier underwater. The place really is like being in an aquarium and has the most varied underwater wildlife you could hope to see in a single dive. We saw rays, sharks, turtles and huge schools of fish all in the space of half an hour! Also keep your eyes peeled for the hidden gems like the brightly colored nudibranches
I would also recommend booking in advance to make sure you don't miss this dive as I'm sure the tour fills up quickly.

Very impressed all round with Dive Ningaloo on our double dive of the famous Exmouth Navy Pier. Our experience started one day early for a refresher dive from the lovely Emily who was then our dive guide on the day. It had been 3 years since my open water PADI course so the refresher was very much needed and Emily even gave me extra time to get my confidence back in the pool. That really paid off for two special dives under the pier which was teeming with phenomenal marine life. The diving is the easy bit and where Dive Ningaloo performed so well was in all the in between bits, getting all the top of the range equipment ready, ferrying us around a naval base, very informative pre dive videos and expert instructions for getting in and out between dives to allow for optimal and safe conditions. Really impressed and will recommend to all my friends!

Thanks so much for this review, I will pass this feedback onto Emily as well! She is a very calm and confident instructor and we are stoked to have her on board our team! The videos are great to pump you all up especially for the dive briefing once you have seen the marine life part, it makes it even more exciting to get in and explore the pier! So happy you had such a great dive with us! Many thanks, Dive Ningaloo

Being a family with two teenage, novice divers we were excited to be diving the navy pier although slightly apprehensive given that some of the reviews we'd read said that the dive was more of an 'intermediate' dive.
Right from the very initial contact with Kirsten she asked the right questions, established the competency of us as divers and re-assured me that we'd be fine. True to her word, the dive we had was exceptional.
The bus and trailer made the transportation of our gear really simple and Tam & Brittany made the rules (ADF base) along with the explanation of the dive really easy to understand whilst ensuring the message was received. Once in the water Brittany was an amazing guide, constantly checking on the kids whilst ensuring we maximised our time under water. Upon surfacing Tam had some delicious hot soup much to the delight of all our group.
I can see why Navy Pier is rated so highly as a dive site and our experience there with Dive Ningaloo couldn't have been better. Thank you all for 'not to be forgotten' dive.

I dived the Navy Pier with Dive Ningaloo. There was not a lot of choice as they are the only dive operator in Exmouth who have access to this site. The bus was 20 minutes late to pick me up from my resort and when I called to check they were coming for me, there was no answer at their office. When it did arrive there was no apology or acknowledgment from the driver.
This is a shore dive with no boat required and the cost of accessing the site is directly passed onto the divers. At $150 + $50 it is expensive for a single dive. Despite this only two dive guides were provided for 17 people.
‘Experienced’ divers with more than 30 previous dives were encouraged to go off and explore on their own. This is despite the visibility always being 5-10m. During the dive my guide actually got lost and had to surface to reorientate herself so I’m not sure how first time divers at the site can be expected to self navigate.
The start of the dive was chaos with people just being encouraged to enter the water when they were ready rather than in groups. This disorganisation resulted in my guide losing people who went off with the other group. Unfortunately this was only discovered after we had descended and resulted in 10 minutes wasted air and dive time while the guide resurfaced to look for the missing people.
The fish life was spectacular especially the resident giant grouper who is know as the BFG.
At 80 bar I was told that I must ascend. This is despite me being an experienced diver with >150 logged dives. This meant I only had 40 minutes of dive time at the site.
I had very much been looking forward to diving the Navy Pier site as it is rated as one of the top 10 dive sites in Australia. Unfortunately my experience was lessened by the chaos and disorganisation I experienced with Dive Ningaloo. I can only hope that another dive operator gets access to the site or that their service improves.

This special dive site is worthy of multiple visits. We joined Dive Ningaloo for three dives each dive nearly one hour long. This company is safe, professional and very enthusiastic and will do their best to give you a great diving experience. The marine life here is prolific. Even though the visibility may vary you can easily see many marine and coral species and the pier swim throughs are fun. The dives are not deep but must be done at slack tide so check and book ahead. You can dive self guided if experienced or go with a dive leader who will point out special interesting or camouflaged individuals. Enjoy!!

Hey Julie, Sounds like you love the Navy Pier dive as much as we do!! An epic dive site which is like an underwater aquarium. Very glad you had such a good dive and the pier showed off its beauty to you! We are all very lucky to be diving this site and its so great it sits at around 12m giving us decent dive times!
You know where we are if you feel like coming back for round 2 :-) Safe diving, from the team @ Dive Ningaloo.

Excellent briefing ( the most extended I had in 35 years of diving)
Top service : all gear is prepared
An experience to do by the book but more than worth the visit.
Cheryl was dynamic and welcoming as well as professional. Security above all.
The management was flexible to adapt the dives to the weather - it was low season.
LOVED it!

Hi there!! Thank you for such a wonderful review!! We are very lucky to have Chez, she is our 'mum' so of course she extends this concern of safety to all of her divers on any of her tours. We're so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience diving with us and really appreciate you taking the time to write this review!! Thank you, we hope to see you again one day here on the beautiful Ningaloo! Best wishes from the entire team :)

One of the best dives i have done!
Surprisingly good visibility considering it was so windy, big swells, white caps on the surface.
The amount of marine life on or swimming around the pier is unbelievable.
Fish of all sizes, plenty of shark breeds, sea snakes, dugongs, nudibranchs and coral.
I liked the flexibility of being allowed to plan my own dive with the only strict condition of 50min bottom time to beat the current changes later on.
The team- chez, em and tam were awesome- so excited and knowledgeable about all the animals we seen!
Thanks for an amazing dive!!!!

Any day on the Navy Pier is an epic day but sounds like you got an incredible one! Quite often windy and choppy on the surface but that never makes a difference to the amount of life under the water which is mind blowing! We are glad you got to appreciate it while going self guided as well! From all the team at Dive Ningaloo.

The Navy Pier dive is an extraordinary experience. To get the most out of it, things need to be very tightly organised and controlled. The team at Dive Ningaloo are possibly the best, most professional and well organised outfit I have experienced. They made sure everyone had their gear set up and ready to go, well before the time required to fit into the visibility window. It can be very frustrating standing around waiting for people who are either late, or messing around with equipment, which in turn impacts your experience. This team was so good at working with individuals at all levels of experience to make sure they we ready to go. Also, a great mix of humor and fun was thrown in to balance the need to follow strict government imposed rules and regs. Can not speak highly enough of the team, and cant wait to go back.

Such a fantastic company. First of they are easy to book online, prices available, dates and pick up times all easily located.
Email sent directly to you with pick up times (very prompt in picking you up).
All dive equipment is ready to go if you are renting your gear (pretty much included in the cost). Good quality diving gear as well.
My wife and I joined them for both the navy pier and Murion Island double dives on two separate days.
Both days did not disappoint. Hats off to the crew that are involved they are all bubbly, friendly and accommodating to all levels of diving experience.
Bonus is at the end of the day they drop you off back to your location and clean all of the gear for you. Definitely will be using this company for future dives in Exmouth.

Is there any diving over new year?
I can be in Exmouth area from 29-December 2019 until 2nd Jan .
Does planned dives occur?
What are conditions like then?
Water temperature?
I’m AOW (+350 dives )
Wonder if worth flying up from Perth on my week hol between 28th dec and 4th Jan?

The diving was great when I was there with the humpbacks singing and the mantas, but They are seasonal. The Navy Pier was certainly worth the trip. I agree contact the dive companies direct, they are all online.

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
