We already knew the story of the MV Krait expedition from here to Singapore in WW2 to sink Japanese ships and were pleased to see well laid out information panels near the airport.

Interesting history and worth a quick stop. Good view of the beach. Could do with a few more photos but I liked the personal diary comments from people at the time

I had seen a doco on the Story of the Krait and Col Lyons. This memorial gives some feel of how isolated this area was but also the significance of the area to Australia’s and US war in SE Asia

A very good World War II memorial, with a very interesting write up and photos. Was particularly interested in the Krait Memorial as my dad was in the Z Special Unit and it was very interesting to visit the places where they were operating.
