This is more than a traditional museum! It is an inter-active museum set in a 19th century homestead surrounded by beautiful gardens. Discover more about the social history of Greenough from Aboriginal times to today. Marvel at the preserved curios of family life in the spacious kitchen. Take a selfie in period costume. Sit and ponder on the Double Dunny. Wander through Elizabeth's Garden and the Veggie garden. Hug what could be Australia's oldest leaning gum tree.

I can highly recommend stopping at this beautiful, small and nostalgic place! The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. It doesn’t feel like a museum but rather like a home on display, with the most beautiful garden! A little oasis in the west Australian desert.

It was nice to see and hear about history that I would never have heard if I didn't go with my daycare even though the bus over heated and yeah but just don't go in mid summer as it is extremely hot

Loved how one is invited to open the drawers & cupboards & look inside - so well presented. Very informative lady brings the past alive & then leaves one to explore. So enjoyed our visit.

Lots of things for the kids to do and see, which is a great way to get them interested. Not so much for the grown ups, although the 800 year old leaning tree is something well worth stopping for. Would recommend a visit included on...More

The museum has things that could be of interest to any age group. We loved the garden and particularly enjoyed the ducks under the historic red gum.

Very well laid out, interactive and interesting way of displaying things to peak your interest. A few flights of stairs to navigate up and also down into the cellar.
