Kalamunda has so many trails to choose from that have great views and are relatively easy for new walkers. We are so lucky to have these trails close to the city and easily accessible.

Robust strollers can probably manage this. You walk down a valley along a wide path until you reach a pool surrounded by granite boulders and a very small waterfall. Then you go for a swim! Its a small pool, and it will likely be dry...More

I have to admit I turned back on this one as it was getting dark, but the Kangaroo Paw and birdsong made for a great afternoon stroll. Give it at least half a day, as I never got to Rocky Pool - probably because I...More

This is a fantastic spot to visit nearly all year round. As its just out of Midland it makes it easily accessible by car especially for some free entertainment. There is a running brook there which flows fast during winter and cascades down the rocks...More

It was an enjoyable hike, very challenging at times with loose stones and steep hills but we enjoyed it thoroughly. We started out from the end of Spring Street but you can get to the rocky pool with a 4WD. The entire loop is fun...More

A great day out and lovely surprise when you arrive at Rocky Pool. Recommend sneakers or hiking boots as some rocky paths. Great for kids from 6 up who can walk a few kilometres, and dogs on leads. Worth doing in spring or autumn when...More

This is a great hike with lots to see on the way! Make sure you go after a big rainfall so you can see the pools and creeks along the way. All up took my partner and I walking at a leisurely pace about an...More

Rock Pools walking trail is one of my favourites however we only do a section of this track, Spring Rd straight to the Rocky Pools & return. The full loop is a great walk but large ascents & descents so a good level of fitness...More

A couple of sections are quite steep. I am fairly unfit and 50 and managed it but beware of loose rocks so you don't slip like I did! I don't recommend going on a warm day as it will get quite hot.

I have seen photos of people in the water. Personally it did not particularly appeal to me as the water looked a bit murky.
