We enjoy all the trails but particularly the summit one which was quite windy at the top, though the views made up for this. Started the walk very early before 6am.

Travelled to the rock and were not disappointed. The beauty both at night and morning is just brilliant Its a 50km drive around the base of the rock. There are a number of stops to take in various walks and views. Depending on the time...More

Mt Augustus is very remote but merits visiting due to its status as the largest rock in the world. It’s not as spectacular as Uluru but there are many interesting walks and there is no barrier to walking to the top - although that’s a...More

The roads are well maintained & the walking trails are well marked. The temperatures can rise rapidly so early morning hiking is best. The views from edney’s lookout are worth the climb. Wear sturdy shoes, hat & take plenty of water & snacks. The geology...More

Beautiful scenery! Great walking provided not too hot! A must! Mount Augustus is awesome, twice the size of Uluru. It is definitely worth the drive from Gascoyne Junction. The Mt Augustus Tourist Place is the ideal place to camp.

Stayed in the little oasis in the middle of the outback. Stunning views of the mountain. The climb to the top of the mountain was hard but worth it. 3 hours up and 2 hours back down.

We did this route in early July 17 in a 150 series and off road camp trailer. Road was ok, some rough spots but worth the trip. Can't wait to do it again.
