The discovery center is not big. Will be nice if you plan a swim or picnic on the beach. Water is very clear. Good for people who likes to walk and birds lovers.More

This place is well worth a visit, especially for families with young children, the information you get about these lovely little penguin's is invaluable for anyone. It's also a nice ride over to the island.

Take the ferry to the island. It’s a lovely day out, there is the penguins rehabilitation centre there, you can see them feeding the penguins. Hang out on the beaches. Walk along the walk aways. Even if you’re lucky, you might see a seal.... though...More

Are you asking if they are Emporor Penguins? They are fairy penguins and you can’t touch them

I took my family from Singapore on the Penguin and Sea Lion tour. We all got to see the dolphins swimming alongside our ferry, which was amazing. That was my second trip taking family to Penguin Island. I hope that helps.

The Island is closed to visitors June -September. I do not know when it reopens exactly. The reason is that it is the breeding season for the penguins. Perhaps there are penguins at Perth Zoo? I have not been there so you... More
