The location of this review is the same as Lake Richmond seems I can only assume it’s a double up. Personally, I prefer Lake Monger than Lake Richmond for scenic outlook and walking trails (plus accessibility and parking).

Point Peron offers a lot of versatility for walks or sight seeing. Whether it's the ocean or lake areas. This area is a natural wetland which hosts a great deal of birdlife and reptiles. Yep be mindful of this especially in summer. Nice for a...More

We love walking around this lake when visiting family in Rockingham. Normally plenty of wildlife but not much out today. We did see a few pelicans and a couple of birds of prey, but it's still a pleasant walk. No doubt we will be around...More

Lake Richmond has quite a few unique characteristics. It is the closest-to-the-coast fresh water lake in Australia. It supports a substantial population of wildlife and also thrombolites. There are pelicans and swans and frogs aplenty! Dotted around the lake are numerous information boards that provide...More

Perfect for bird watching, walking or just sit by the look out and relax listening to the wildlife! Depending on the time of year there are many bird species to see, wattle birds, blue wrens etc etc

The Lakes regional park can be quite a walk. You see birds and maybe snakes, just beware. Lake Richmond is the largest lake here. Not so popular with tourists.

Although there is a threat of snakes etc. etc the landscape and water lend itself for a leisurely walk with great views.

Interesting area with stromolites in the lake. No access to lake only board walks. Very good walks around lake and lots of bird life especially around 5-6pm. Seating at intervals. Dog friendly (on leash) Interprtive centre nearby.

I've spent hours walking on different tracks around Lake Cooloongup (couple of lakes here), always amazed at the wild life so close to suburbia. Black white cockatoo's various parrots, kookaburra's to mention a few. Then there are the reptiles snakes lizards and long neck tortoise,...More
