Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The lighthouse is an easy walk from the village and wharf area, and is worth a look. The coastal scenery is pretty and the views are good. Plenty of opportunities to see Quokkas too.

This was the first lighthouse we stopped at on Rottnest Island and where I spotted a Quokka right near me. It’s a great spot to go up the stairs and take photos

Came to see the Lighthouse which was lovely. From here we looked back towards Fremantle and watched whales in the distance playing. From here you also overlook Pinky Bay.

Nice views over the sea. Easily accessible on foot or by bike. Worth a visit.

There's some great views from both sides of Bathurst Lighthouse. It's not the biggest lighthouse I've come across but it seems quite accessible with stairs bit I noticed a path from the other side as well.
There's a lovely beach too. It's mainly populated by the glampers but beats the crowds of the Basin. It's worth a visit and not too far f r I'm the main centre and you can see the Perth coast on a clear day.

Bathurst Lighthouse is located on the Nor Eastern point of Thomson Bay and looks back towards the mainland and was the second lighthouse built after the 1899 ship wreck of the 'City of York' which cost 11 lives. Some people in these reviews confuse it with Wadjemup LH which sits on a rise in the middle of Rottnest Island. The keepers cottage is now used for accommodation as the Lighthouse is automatic nowadays. A nice view & outlook to be had.

Be aware you must pay to go to the top with guide. There are toilets nearby. There is limited seating available at the top and there is also a lovely view up there.Apart from the guides there is nothing to do there at the lighthouse. It is rather a steep climb up from where the bus drops you off at the bottom of the hill.

The lighthouse is of interest but the walk through the historic buildings to get to the light house equally interesting. There are also good ocean and sea views from the higher points of the island.
