Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a great place to bring your family. It offers a protected beach area and safe swimming space. The outer reef offers a sheltered area for swimming particularly for kids.

The lagoon has car parking with a kiosk cafe to buy some food and drinks.

This is also fisherman friendly with lots of areas close to the lagoon in which to catch a feed.

Great spot.

A fantastuc view of the ocean with marvellous breaking waves. The sea is a mixture of light green and blue sea with plenty of seaweed near the coastline. Wind is quite chilly but the sun made the air bearable. Nice ace for swimmers but to anglers, the vast seaweed areas make it an impossible task. A good challenge though.

This is a favourite amongst families. The reef outside the area provides a sheltered area for kids to safely swim or don their masks, snorkel and flippers to explore the ocean.

Apart from this there is a shop in the Carpark across the road. Parking can be at a premium though. I have visited all times of the year but as you world expect it's best during summer.

Yesterday on the hottest day of the year myself and 4 mates decided to head down! My fiancé and I were dragged out with the hard current and left stranded with no life guards on duty! A friend had to use his swimming skills to save us both! Please don't let your children alone in this water! It's very dangerous and would only advise athlete swimmers to attend. Keep in mind no life guards were on duty!! This happened at 3:30pm!

Make sure you check Willy Weather for tides, as low tide is absolutely amazing. Water is calm and clear. Not very deep, perfect for little kids. It gets busy in summer, but not so that it is unpleasant. There has been a lot of renovations around and there seem to be a bit more parking now.

Cafe overlooks the Lagoon. Great views. Able to sit outside in the fresh air under cover.
We had the fish and chips with the family. The fish was greasy and the chips were soggy. It is a pity as the location is great and there are no other food choices on the coast.

The water inside the lagoon is shallow enough for toddlers to splash about in and also deep enough for a good swim and snorkel. Life guards on the beach and one cafe just behind.

This has been a great safe family fishing spot over the years and still is enjoyable today.

I regularly attend to walk on the reef area casting lures for tailor and herring.

The reef itself provides a natural swimming area close to the beach hence it being called a lagoon. This is a fantastic area for families.

There is a cafe there which makes it great for a quick visit.
