We were visiting the Old Fort in winter and it was too cold to enjoy the park, but I can imagine it a great place to spend a summer day with the kids. There are soccer fields, picknick areas and playgrounds.

lets face it, Niagara is cool ( I was conceived there 60 years ago on my parents honeymoon ) but pretty quickly you run out of things to do ( unless you too are on a honeymoon ). fort Niagara is about 15-20 minutes away...More

This park was a great find. Great tour from a park volunteer. Museum then tour the fort. Lots of history and people dressed in uniforms and period costumes. Fife and drum were awesome. Can't wait to take the grand kids.

Destination was the Fort Niagara Light(house), established atop "French Castle" in 1782.
