Mica Gallery is a cooperatively owned Gallery in the small town of Bakersville just outside of Spruce Pine, NC. They offer mostly pottery, but some textiles, jewelry and handmade cards, too. It is a favorite stop for us!
Mica Gallery is a wonderful place. Since I live only 6 miles from it and personally know most of the artists. I like to go there to purchase gifts, and just enjoy the space. Amazingly talented artists. Lots to see so make sure you are...More
This gallery is a little off the beaten path; but worth the trip. They just opened back up after being closed for the winter. This is an artist co-op shop. Several wonderful clay artists' works command your attention as soon as you walk in. It's...More
This is a real jewel in a small, quaint mountain town. Mica is staffed by the artists who display their art there, so you will always be greeted by a very knowledgeable artist from the local area. The layout is incredibly open with natural light...More
This is a fantastic gallery of local artists works. Housed in a restored country store with the original floor and tin ceiling.

Not quite as large as the Crimson Laurel, but more (different) local artists. I would really recommend going to both before you buy anything so you may wind up taking home a whole lot! Luckily they are right down the street from each other.
