I used the ferry from Bay View to Aurora for as long as I can remember... I like going up to the passenger lounge and watch the waves and water...It's only a 30 minute ride,but is so nice. Plus you can connect to the ferry...More

The many ferries serving coastal NC are a treasure, and often the most efficient travel option, and in some cases the ONLY travel option. Relaxation starts at the ferry dock.

This is one of many NC State-owned ferry barges, that transports motorists between Bayview (Bath) and Aurora. About a thirty minute ride, fantastic views of the Pamlico River. Seating area available on the bow. Lovely trip and free.
