Not one to normally write reviews, however, I felt for this one I just had to. Had a great Sunday day trip (from Greenville, SC) riding the train out of Bryson City and rafting down the Nantahala with my wife and 14 year old son. The train trip up was bit rainy but the sun broke through when we started... More

We had the best time rafting down the river with our guide Lee Knight. Lee has been guiding for 37 years and boy does it show. He knew all the history of the area along with all the trees and plants. He is also an entertainer and writer. Lee is currently writing a book about local folk music. Lee sang... More

The only gripe I have is the parking kinda stinks, but that seems normal in the gorge. The equipment, staff, and everything else was excellent. I guided for a couple of years for a different company (Whitewater Express) and this is hands down more organized, professional and a much better overall experience. Everything was smooth and we stopped to surf... More

We went with a family group from ages 10-49 and all had a blast! It is mostly shady which was nice on a hot day. Our guides, Barrett and Clay, were great and made sure all were safe but had fun. Some pretty views of the mountains and Lake Fontana along the way.

Our family of nine visited Wildwater Nantahala for a rafting trip. Our party split into 5 and 4 with two rafts for our group. The most awesome guides! They were talkative, informative and funny. Water was cold but definitely worth the view and adventure! When offered the boots for this trip, take them! This was our second trip with Wildwater... More

We'll skip the train ride next time. My train-crazy 16 year old wasn't even that fond of the train ride. Uncomfortable seats coupled with riding in our bathing suits just made us wish we'd arrive at the raft launch soon. The rafting on the Nantahala river was definitely worth it, though. We've done the Pigeon river before and we really... More

Our family of four really had a great time on the canopy tour. The instructions were easy to follow & our 10 year old had no trouble. Our guides, Barrett & Dillon, were helpful and friendly. The zip lines were long and some of the bridges between them were exciting as well! They do have helmets with Go-Pro mounts available... More
