Good Time On The Train

Although you can drive the parkway and see the Smoky Mountains, you have not truly seen them until you have been on the train. For a few dollars more, you can ride the Steam Locomotive. There are only a few authentic steam trains left taking passengers and it's worth hearing the choo-choo chug-chug. The whistle will stay in your memory... More

The wines were paired with 4 courses and we enjoyed the luxurious first class dining car MacNeill for our ride to quaint Dillsboro. We had a fantastic dining car host (Steve) who shared interesting facts along the tour and delivered great service. The scenery outside during the ride was not fantastic, but it is February. The wine and good company... More

We took THE TUCK Excursion, and it was not as described...neither online nor in the booklet that we were sent from the Chamber of Commerce. While it was still enjoyable for what it was, what it WASN'T was worth the price tag attached. The ride was too short, and the train goes up one way and then just reverses and... More

We visited here before but this was the first time we did the Polar express train and it is now my favorite. You can wear pajamas if you want my kids did. And it gives you a true taste of the movie they read the book, give you hot chocolate and traits while doing the hot chocolate dance. Santa gets on... More

Overall good experience on the Great Smokey Mountain Train ride. My wife wanted to do the booze train ride and I'm glad we did. The scenery was a bit lacking until you got to the river as the kudzu has taken over everywhere else. The halfway break was good and enough time is allotted to do several things before having... We gave our family a Polar Express weekend for Christmas, rather than buying gifts and toys that would soon be broken or forgotten. Best decision ever!!! It was our first trip and we were in the back, since we booked late. I can't imagine that first class could have been a much better experience. It was awesome! Tickets for next... More

I organized a group of 20 people, both adults and children to ride the Polar Express on December 22nd, 2017. We were in the first class cabin. The train experience was quite enjoyable for both adults and children. Santa Clause was fabulous! He even said something personal to each child - my 11-year-old niece was shocked that he knew she... We took the day train ride that was a total of about four hours long. We passed a lot of beautiful scenery. It seems long but we never got bored and the kids had a lot of fun. We stopped at an outdoor adventures center and were able to explore a little.

The Polar Express needs to make some very much needed improvements. The train ride was a disappointment. This is geared for small kids and their imaginary world. Disney consultant can help them improve the quality of the experience.
