The hike to the falls was pretty easy, nice trail. We were the only people there early on a Saturday am in April.

Falls were beautiful. The hike to them was kind of boring. Very easy walking. Definitely seemed like more that a half mile back there

Nice walking trail that leads to a beautiful waterfall! Dog friendly too, our huskies really enjoyed the hike. It was in the 20’s today so there were icicles all over!

The fall was a little harder to find, off route 80, but it is a very pretty falls. The hike in was an easy .5 miles.

Not as much a 'classic' waterfall as Crabtree, but for me even more enjoyable. Great views throughout the somewhat demanding climb to the top, but views from the top made it very worthwhile.

This fun and beautiful waterfall was right at the bottom of the road where our cabin was. It was well worth the walk which is not far at all. I mean less than 1/2 mile easy. Worth a couple of hours of viewing, climbing and...More

It was a short and easy walk from Alberts lodge and worth every step. It wasn't highly populated and no trash anywhere

A nice 15-20 minute hike on a well maintained trail (last 200ft or so are very root covered and could be slippery in wet weather). The falls are really nice , falling in several well defined steps and having several nice pools for you to...More

This is a frequently visited trail and falls, good for all ages. Level, easy walk and good for dogs too. (As always, DO NOT CLIMB THE FALLS). Near the Mt Mitchell Lands Golf Course, so the locals are here regularly. Nice little get outside place.

...found a great waterfall! The recent rains definitely helped make it more dramatic. The hike is easy, and only 1/2 mile out along a forest road.

Yes. And if you are looking for a dog-friendly hotel, Albert's, very nearby, is your go-to place. Nice suites, great hosts, and if you happen to be a trail or road cycler, they have rentals, advice, maps and kindred spirits... More
