This is a great park to go visit, especially if you love lighthouses and the history of North Carolina. A must see visit for any OuterBank first timers, you will not be disappointed.

A sight to see! Climb to the top, if you are in good physical shape. Around 250+ stairs will get you to the top for 210 foot panoramic view of the area. Definitely worth a visit.

The lighthouse was an amazing experience. Although, I hated that we didn't get to go to the top because there had been so much rain and the winds were extremely high that day that going out on the balcony was prohibited. Side note, the lighthouse...More

The Lighthouse has lots of steps but TONS of incredible views. It also has a small museum with facts about the lighthouse and the area. The Lighthouse also has beach access by it that leads to awesome views of the lighthouse.

Great thing to do with kids or with family. I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that our kids climbed the whole lighthouse!

My sister who is a 9 year old was barley able to climb it. (Or she was a nine year old) I think that only your 6 year old could come. Idk exactly, but I don’t think anyone older than 5 can come.
