A good place for a short to medium walk through nature. Bring bug spray if it's the bug season. You should plan at least 1 hour but could make it longer if you do multiple trails. Nature center onsite is a nice stop for the kids.

This is a wonderful place to meet nature. The center has guided walks with trained naturalists or you may walk on your own. Beautiful seasonal nature experience.

A great retreat from the hustle and bustle...right in town! Great for leisurely hike or pet walks. Several trail lengths to choose from.

Had some time to kill so visited to take a hike. Great trails with varied habitat and very nice staff. The visitors center had a very nice exhibit as well.

This "nature preserve" is an excellent, shaded preserve with a few excellent walking / hiking trails. On the one side, there is a trail that goes down to the river with just enough steps to get you some exercise. The whole place is heavily shaded and just feels cooler than the rest of town. The other side has meandering trails... More

We walk, run, take the grand kids there where they have fun. It is really relaxing, a few minutes from home.

Trails in shade and comfortable to walk. Some trails with lots of stairs and wooden walkways. Very nice for a walk with family , friends and pets. Most trails are short.

Another place I love to take my dog and my dog loves to go! The longest trail is 1.2 miles, but there are several so you can combine them. It's beautiful, and once you've started your walk you feel like you've really gone somewhere. I've never been there when it's crowded. There are usually a few people out there for... More

I was looking forward to seeing the bluffs but the trees have grown so much you can barely see the water at the bottom of the bluffs. It's even hard to tell they are bluffs. The best part was the Recycled Art Garden. It gave me some ideas for our back yard. The nature preserve is home to many eastern... More

With so much development going forward in Cary, it is great to have a place like Hemlock Bluffs to visit and appreciate. It is a great place for a peaceful walk on ahot Summer day. The trails are great and well maintained.
