Beautiful space filled with a survey of American art, another survey of Modern art and a couple of contemporary exhibitions. Not crowded at all.

This is an enjoyable visit to a museum dedicated to the decorative arts. Well curated. Centrally located. Unfortunately, the entrance price felt wildly out of pace with other museums in the downtown area. While the museum is nice, I am not sure it rightfully commands such a high entrance fee.

We were here for a private event, a wedding reception. The venue is lovely and easy to park and navigate. The reception had an indoor and patio area which was nice to cool down outside after a dance or two. Food was catered in. Unfortunately the museum was closing when we arrived so that we were unable to view exhibits.

Charlotte is a sweet clean city to walk around with your family. We happened upon the Mint Museum and we're delighted by the exhibits. It's a great place to spend the afternoon.

This is a stunning building with a well curated collection of paintings, sculptures and design items, including some very unusual glass pieces. A great way to spend a couple of hours in downtown Charlotte.

I absolutely loved going to the Mint Museum while in Charlotte. We arrived on a Wednesday night and it was free admission! We spent a little over two hours exploring the collection, which included several of my favorite artists, as well as some newly introduced ones! It is well worth going if you have an hour or two in the... More

Charlotte's original fine art museum. Hosting the Mint's contemporary collection as well as the Museum of Craft and Design. This location hosts traveling exhibits as well. Really enjoyed the glass displays.

Visited as a part of a business trip with colleagues. The staff was so knowledgable, passionate and friendly! The exhibits were great and had a ton of variety. The best part was heading to the 5th floor and looking over Charlotte as the sun set, a true city gem!

If you are a Bank of America credit or debit card holder, take advantage of using their promotion to visit the Uptown Mint Museum during the first weekend of every month. It was certainly worth coming here and using a good amount of time to contemplate these masterpieces for free. I feel that you can easily spend several hours depending... More
