Corolla lite beaches are very nice and not too crowded. Depends on time of day. Go early around 9 am. Can be pretty hot after 12. Make sure you check out the tide times so you can adjust where you set up.

Drove on 4x4 beach with family during our OBX vacation. We saw horses within first 1/4 mile. Beach was beautiful, swimming was excellent, and surf fishing was AMAZING!

Highway 12 changes right into sandy beach just north of Corolla. Be sure you drop tire pressures to 20 psi and 4 wheel drive is a must! We drove our Jeep Wrangler on the sand for 8 miles and still the beach did not end!...More
