Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This outdoor shopping area has many different types of shops, sure to have something for everyone- from apparel to OBX souvenirs to exotic types of jerky—there is plenty to view. There are also restaurants, ice cream shops, and activities, it’s worth a visit. Take an umbrella if it rains though, as there are buildings that are separated/not covered.

If you spend a week in OBX there will be poor weather at least one day. For those days, if Uno and Video Games are not enough, then a day out shopping at Timbuck II will take at least a couple of hours to enjoy. There are restaurants, shops, places to get some booze and plenty of treats like ice cream and chocolates. This is probably the most condensed shopping area in OBX and it really works well for those poor weather days.

An interesting shopping environment, lots of little independent stores. Attached is a boardwalk along the sound side. Views are spectacular,.
On a side note, if you collect smashed penny's for the little ones, there is a penny making machine outside one of the shops. It makes turtles, along with OBX logo and a couple more pictures.

Timbuck II is a nice, kind of all in one stop. It has many shops to shop and choose from and many places to eat. You can Asians hours here just walking and enjoying. If your game, there's a go cart and a bumper car track to test your skill. I'd recommend as definate place to visit.

Lots of shops with cool merchandise. Prices vary from one place to another buy a bunch, so compare. 5 or 6 places to eat, attractions for the kids to include go-carts, mini-golf and a long boardwalk to the sound. A favorite stop for everything. It has multiple layers to it.

Very nice and lots of parking for the time of year we visited. Good choice of businesses and workers were helpful and friendly.

We went there on 2 different days of our trip and the first day I was super disappointed. I felt like a lot of the shops were super commercialized and just cheap touristy stuff. The next time we went I found some stores I actually like that weren’t all the cheap stuff you see everywhere you go. I would say the best stores are The Cotton Gin, The Mystic Jewel, and then the Michael’s Gems store.

Whenever we travel to the Outer Banks we save Timbuck II for rainy day visits. The shops are unique and there are deals to be had. The food shops are delicious and the putt putt course and go carts in the back are excellent. This year we didn't have rain but we still made our visit on multiple days.

Great little shopping plaza! Full off wonderful and kind shop owners... especially the Mystic Jewel! Mary was so kind especially to my boys who clearly did not want to be in THAT shop! LOL. Loved the Big Buck's (or whatever it's called) ice cream. Probably bought a little something at each shop we stopped in. Definitely worth stopping by! Everything was very reasonable and COVID precautions maintained.
