This is a hidden NC gem! Clean water. Lots of fish. Great for kayaking. The lake is shallow and good for swimming. Use the boat ramp and swimming areas at Pettigrew Park. Be sure to walk the swamp trail while you are there.

This is a great place to get away from the hassles of the job, city life, aggravation and troubles. The lake view is so relaxing, it’s rustic, earthly, and a calm atmosphere. It can be exposure for the young. It can be relaxing for the...More

If you like solitude, nature, and beautiful vistas this is a wonderful place to visit. We camped at Pettigrew SP for 3 nights and loved it. The sunset views alone are worth the price of admission.

Nothing around this lake from the park except a boat ramp and dock. Plenty of parking for trucks/trailers. Did see one picnic table by the parking area.

Nice place to take the family for a day outing. Stop by to see Somerset Place a State Historic Site, definitely worth taking the tour.

There is no charge for the boat ramp. There is a fee for camping if you decide to stay (which is worth it!)

The best way there is 64 to Creswell. There is a sign I want to say it's exit 558, but not 100% sure on that. There is also a campground there at the lake.
