The lake is gorgeous but cannot be seen unless you take a walk through this well maintained, canopy covered park. Talk to the Rangers, they are full of fascinating information about the furry and feathery animals that thrive here!
Nice location to bring the kids or grandkids. Often host a opportunity to see/feed some of the local turtles. Located adjacent to the Cape Fear River Trail, a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy nature.
The park is good size. My kids love the little theatre area but there was no chalk for the chalkboards.
