Very nice small museum. I especially liked all of fantastic displays of Civil War memorabilia. There is a nice diorama with an explanation which gave me a great understanding of the Battle of Goldsboro Bridge. Very interesting small display of uniforms and local men who fought in WWI and WWII. The small museum actually has two very rare and desirable... More

Right now they have an amazing collection of bridal gowns from the 1890s to 1990s, all with a local connection.

In addition to their static display of local history, they host lectures and events of interest of which I've attended several.

Absolutely worthwhile. We came here out of boredom during a long rainy stretch and stayed here longer than we expected.

This small museum of local history is making impressive strides in collecting and displaying the history of Wayne county, NC. It is housed in an old USO building, which is itself local history. This is a must-stop location for history buffs!
