I very nice little museum/relic center is adjacent to the actual fort. Well preserved with a nice battle re-enactment the first weekend in November. Cliffs overlooking the river gives you a feeling of being a cannon gunner during the Civil War.

Civil War Reenactment: A full weekend of encampment. Lots to see, various suttlers have authentic and replica wares to sell. Local vendors with great food. Love the Winslow family chicken stew... will warm your heart, too.
