Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife, and another couple who drove up from Atlanta, had a fabulous time at the Walnut Hollow Ranch. We took the farm tour and learned how much work and care goes into producing healthy beef (Black Angus). Afterwards, we relaxed on the patio and had a social hour drinking excellent beer and wine locally crafted in Andrews, NC. Then we had the big feast with black angus burgers with all of the trimmings, salad, cole slaw, baked beans, cut fruit, and pineapple upside-down cake. It was a lot of food but was very delicious and a wonderful meal. I cannot recommend this farm, its products, and its events more. Give yourself and the ones you love the gift of going to Walnut Hollow Ranch.

Today, after checking TripAdvisor of course, I explored the area around Haysville, NC. As luck would have it, I decided to visit Walnut Hollow Ranch. What a beautiful and peaceful place, so neat and clean, and full of wonderful animals. I missed the tour, but will return again to take Charlie up on his offer to meet his animals.

Tip #1 call before you go to make sure the store is open and tours are being given. They have limited hrs.of operation.

Tip #2 take your camera. There are lots of beautiful views.

Tip #3. It is worth the 4 mile drive out of town.

This is not your standard RV camping park. It is a family run cattle ranch with the owners house on the same land. Only a couple of sites, ours was on a concrete pad next to the beef retail store that is only open on the weekends. Water, electric and sewer was on the site. It is off the beaten path and NO road noise. We used this location as a base camp to visit, fly fish and play around the Nantahala River / NOC, also visited Hayesville and Murphy NC. There is a large Ingles supermarket close in Hayesville if need any groceries. We grilled out for dinner and ate on their picnic table in front of the store. The weather was perfect for our stay. Walnut Creek land was hilly and green with cows grazing happily. The place was well maintained and clean.

I highly recommend Walnut Hollow Ranch. Charlie does a great job explaining all about his beef cattle and his cattle reproduction process. He has a store on site as well to purchase steaks and more all packaged and ready for the grill! The tour was very informative and we got to meet his entire herd of cattle, his goats, donkeys and horse. His ranch is dog friendly too, we took our dog on a leash and she enjoyed it as well. If you're looking for a fun family outing I highly recommend touring Walnut Hollow Ranch. It's time well spent!

We stayed at Walnut Hollow Ranch this week and enjoyed every bit of it. We stayed on a level cement pad with full hook-ups that was perfect for our minnie winnie. It was very easy to access with the travel trailer. Charlie is a wealth of knowledge and is enjoyable to chat with Thank You, Vinny, Cara, and Mini-Vinny

My daughter and I stayed at the ranch for four nights and enjoyed the time there. Charlie is very kind and welcomed us when we arrived. My daughter loved checking out the animals and asking many, many questions about farm life. The room and shared areas are spacious and comfortable. I recommend a stay or visit to the ranch. We will be back!

We stayed in the loft for 5 nights, and had a farm tour while we were there. Charlie wanted to make sure everything was good for us. He's so genuine, really puts together a nice room to stay, the property is super clean and idyllic. The farm tour is really informative and helps put in perspective what's important about buying and eating meat. The place is great, but what made it awesome was the upstanding person that Charlie is.

We stopped here on our way to our vacation rental to buy dome grass fed beef. We walked out with eggs, cheese, butter, grits and bacon! It all tasted great. We went back later in the week and bought more, lol. Charlie also provided us with lots of info about local activities and places to go.

We went to buy some Beef and oh boy it was amazing. We bought the Rib eyes, Beef Ribs and Burger all Grass fed and antibiotic free. Charlie the owner was very gracious and knowledgeable on all products in the store. He sells homemade items from locals and all is top notch. We didn't have enough time to visit the farm, but we will definitely make it a must. Wether you live local or just visiting definitely check this place out. You can even have a meal if you plan right. Thanks again Charlie we will be back.
