We were here in September. It was beautiful weather and we enjoyed our walk through the Botanical Gardens. The many different plants, shrubs and trees were well marked. It made for a lovely afternoon

Got to the nature center just in time to see a rat snake eating a mouse. Informative displays of stuffed animals & info on the area. We talked with Hannah D, who gave us some great tips on what to do in the area. Hiked down to Glen Falls, and it was superb. There’s a pretty and thorough garden with ALL kinds of local plants out back, as well as a pretty Lilly pond. Hannah D was the BEST, and we wished we had had enough time to do the mountain trail she had also recommended…

Went on a nice afternoon and began our visit in the Visitors Center. The center features native animals and information about the area. As you walk the paths, markers show the common and scientific name of the plants you are seeing. It was nice to learn the correct names of plants you have encountered in the past. Two of the paths lead to a small, beautiful little pond covered with lily pads. Others led though the woods, crossing bridges over the creeks running through the center. Very relaxing. Very informative. Give yourself at least a couple of hours for the visit.…
