If your in Highlands area in North Carolina you definitely want to visit these falls. Easy to fine with a parking lot and steps to the falls not recommended for wheelchairs

The trip to get to the falls was a little scary, especially at one point. But it was definitely worth it! The falls are so beautiful there’s even an area in the mountain where you can go in. We would go again.

After 12 inches of rain in 3 days, this waterfall was all powerful and beautiful. The sheer power of it was deafening. You can walk behind it and watch the white water gush downward. There is a parking area here and you walk down a...More

Quick walk down to the falls. Nice spot for pictures. It does not constitute a hike at all, but the falls itself is gorgeous.

This is a definite must do if you are in the area. Not a difficult hike. hand rails and mostly paved. Easy for children too! It offers great picture taking opportunities

Incredible waterfall just steps from the road. You can view it from parking lot level easily. Or, you can walk down a few steps to be right beside the waterfall and even walk behind it. Easiest waterfall “hike” ever!!

The drive is beautiful with a lot of curves! However, once there it has a handicap viewing deck which has a lovely view of the falls. For those that can manage some steps it is fairly easy to make your way down to the falls....More

Nothing like the rushing water sound and natural beauty of a waterfall. I never miss an opportunity to visit a waterfall that is accessible either via highway or a short hike. The beauty and majesty of Gods creations are awe inspiring, peaceful and good for...More

Yes correct there is an area at the top that is accessible, but the path down in places steep and wet, and has several sections of stairs.

You wouldn’t be able to swim here. This is a pretty rapid water fall. It feeds a rapid and rocky river as well. Maybe you could in the lake above, but it seems like it was more of a private area. The appeal here is you can... More
