This self guided tour lets you explore the area and sites where Dale Sr and family grew up. Besides the cost of fuel its pretty much free! Cool way to spend a day and see the sites where a true racing legend was born and raised.

People told me to go see this. Not sure why...I don't even like Nascar but they told me to visit it anyway. There is nothing else this town really has to offer so I went. In my opinion don't go out of your way to visit, instead just visit Charlotte's Nascar museum. Unless you want a picture with the statue.

If you love Nascar, and Dale Earnhardt, than this is the trail for you. It tells his story from start to finish. Dale Earnhardt helped put the small town of Kannapolis, NC on the map. This town is very proud of the fact that this was/is Dale Earnhardt's hometown. My favorite is the brass statue in town...beautiful!

Well maintained and a fitting tribute to a great man. But there really isn't much to do other than take a photo with a statue.

Nice quiet place for reflection. Opportunity to think about one of NASCAR's legends or savor your own thoughts. Although Kannapolis should ban visitor's from smoking in the area

The adventure takes you thru the streets of Kannapolis. Down Dale Earnhardt Blvd., past Ralph Earnhardt's grave site, then Curb Motorsports (where Dale Sr.'s #2 and Richard Petty's #43 are showcased), Dale Earnhardt Plaza (pictured above: a 9-ft bronze statue of Dale Sr.), to DEI and JR Nation/Motorsports, Richard Childress Racing, and Hendrick Motorsports. Maps are available at County Visitor's... More

We were on a quest in Dale Earnhardt's home town to find all we could dedicated to his memory. This is a very nice park with paths of bricks coming from every direction leading up to his statue that is centrally located. The bronze statue is amazing! Looks so life like.....standing just like him! Also, a marble marker with sentimental... More
