Great place to visit with your family!

My family and I visited this aquarium and we were very pleased with the experience. They even had an elevator for us to use as our child was in a stroller.

We've been to the Aquarium several times and have always loved it. Excellent gift shop and restaurant too. It's definitely for all ages. Make a quick stop at Fort Fisher for the Civil War history then head over to the Aquarium.

The aquarium has hands on activities for children, great viewing areas to see the aquatic wildlife and information posted throughout the aquarium. My sisters and I had a wonderful morning there. There were many families with young children who were having a wonderful time.

We have been lots of time and the kids never get tired of going to the aquarium. If you're going to go once or twice a year, it's worth getting the family membership. The membership gives you free admission to the North Carolina Zoo in Asheville. If you go to the zoo and aquarium at least once a year it... More

This aquarium is not very large, but does have an area to explore and walk onto the beach. The guides are very good at what they do. They talk about the brackish water and the different types of life in both the brackish and salt water. This is an easy trip for adults too. There fish tanks are three stories... More

My husband and I loved exploring this aquarium during Christmas time. Beautiful trees throughout. Favorite animals included a bald eagle, albino alligator, loggerhead sea turtle, horseshoe crabs and stingrays. Huge tank filled with sea-life that is two-stories high was mesmerizing to sit and enjoy.

First this aquarium has pleanty to see and we enjoy the slower pace to actually stop and look and read and explore. It is smaller than a lot we have been to but is also half the price of these as well. This aquarium provides much more knowledge and education than bigger tourist aquariums. The staff and volunteers are always... More

We really enjoyed the two touch tanks and lucked out on being there for feeding time in the large tank. They also have dinosaurs outside on the trail and is worth the walk even in the rain, we had to do it twice!
