When visiting the area, make sure to stop in at the Welcome Center. The staff are very friendly and helpful and they have a wide range of information available regarding the area. The center is clean and modern and well worth a stop. Highly recommend.

Spent a relaxing family weekend on Lake Lure celebrating my wife's birthday. Rented a lakefront house through Airbnb. Also rented a pontoon from Adventure to tour the lake. Both were great ways to enjoy the scenery. A beautiful & unique get away.

Quant little city in the mountains! Has its own sandy beach and rental kayaks and canoes! Dirty Dancing was filmed in the hotel.

We started our second day here to learn about Lake Lure. The women at the desk were so informative and very nice. We were given a pamphlet of things to do in and around Lake Lure and maps!! We will keep this to use again.

The welcome center is full of brochures and information about local history. It is sort of a mini museum as well. It is worth stopping in to find out about the local sites and amenities.
