We came from Hillsville, VA. And this is very nice stop on Blue ridge parkway. If you plan camping, I recommend you to look for information from the nearest visitor center.

The hike was very good at Doughton Park off the blue ridge parkway in North Carolina. The Mountain Bluff trail was moderate to strenuous with hiking across a pasture and mountain top. There was some steep climbs and descents. About 7 miles one way.

This is a place from my childhood and into my adult life. I love going here. Beautiful, relaxing and never regret going for the day. A good place to plan big family get together's and we can play ball or just sit and talk.
